Rights violations escalate at AB InBev India

IndiaIUFThe IUF is demanding that  AB InBev makes sure that the management at its Sonepat factory, India reinstate sacked union leaders and members and enter into good faith negotiations for a new collective barging agreement with Haryana Breweries Limited Mazdoor Union.

AB InBev Sonepat management has engaged in a concerted effort to impede workers access to freedom of association and collective bargaining rights. For the past two years local managers have refused to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement with the Union and have suspended 5 union leaders and members.

Management also broke a signed agreement for the reinstatement of four union committee members by suspending the union president on September 11, 2017 for joining an IUF AB InBev unions meeting in India. Another committee member was again suspended on November 7, 2017.

Workers continue their round the clock peaceful protest at the factory gate.
