Iran, TEHRAN. Security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran seized the premises of the state-controlled JAM Co. enterprise on Taleghani Street in the Iranian capital on December 26. The site had been occupied by striking workers, reported the Student Movement Coordinating Committee for Democracy in Iran (SMCCDI).

The workers took this measure in a protest against the non-payment of wages for the last 14 months. After security forces broke in, several strikers were arrested.
