arrested after criticizing government subsidy cuts
Fariborz Raees Dana, an
economist and a member of Iranian Writers' Association was arrested on
Saturday, December 19, 2010 at his home a few hours after he criticized
the subsidy cuts in an interview with the BBC Persian. The Islamic
Republic of Iran has warned that they would harshly suppress any
opposition to their subsidy cuts.
