Global education unionists ready for EI Congress

Over 1400 people will come together in Bangkok, Thailand from the 19th to the 26th of July to take part in the 8th Education International World Congress.

This event will bring together delegates from EI member organisations in 151 countries and intergovernmental agencies with whom EI maintains on-going relations.

The Pre-Congress events will begin on Friday 19th July and will cover topics including LGBTI rights, Indigenous Peoples rights, Higher Education and Women’s rights. Congress itself will begin at 17.00 hours on 21st July and conclude at lunchtime on 26th July.

Over 1,400 delegates registered to attend Congress, including representatives of EI affiliates, observers, guests and staff. Delegates will debate and develop the EI strategy and elect the Executive Board that will lead the organisation in the next four years.
